Warhammer 40k the Lego way – Or how to play Lego Warhammmer?

The Warhammer 40k universe is definitely an inexhaustible source of inspiration for creative minds. For proof, after an original representation of Disney Princesses in Space Marine widely distributed on the Web, the Warhammer 40k Lego version is now available.

Make no mistake, these are by no means Warhammers 40k customized with alternative bitz and proxies, but miniatures entirely reproduced from existing Lego parts.

A stunning realization of Space Marines and Orks in Lego

Of all the Warhammer 40,000 Lego designs we were able to discover by looking at the canvas, one of the most successful is undoubtedly the work of Jerac. Passionate about Lego and the Warhammer 40,000 universe of course, this modeler was able to create a breathtaking diorama featuring a heavily armed Blood Angels Space Marines unit facing a horde of Orks in the middle of a battle.

Commissioned for an exhibition in Krakow, Poland, the diorama presented to the public is distinguished both by its size (imposing dimension) and by the precision and richness of the details in the construction. You will notice that all the miniatures, from the Predator and Land Raider motorized tanks, to the ruined cathedral, as well as the other scenery elements, the frame, …, have been entirely built by assembling Lego parts!

Another creation quite close to Jerac’s famous diorama is the model of Kosmas Santosa representing an impressive futuristic army. Named Warhammer 50k by its author, it reproduces in the Lego style, miniatures and battleships that closely resemble the Games Workshop Warhammer 40k miniatures, except for a few whimsical details added in armament…

In addition to these 2 examples with Jerac and Kosmas Santosa’s Lego Warhammer, you will find many other illustrations online that can serve as a model of inspiration.

Do you also try to make a Space Marine in Lego?

Are you tempted by the idea of Warhammer 40k Warhammer figurines made in the Lego way? You can embark on this adventure full of imagination and creativity. Don’t hesitate to try yourself with the creation of a Space Marine in Lego version to start with. It costs three times nothing, moreover it remains quite simple to realize.

Plan Space Marines Lego

We find the activity less complex than it might seem at first glance. And as proof, we were able to create a small unit of Imperial Space Marines by following the assembly steps established and shared by Becheman on his Flickr gallery.

Although this type of realization is quite exposed on the web, there are unfortunately few methods and plans available to guide you, as designers rarely take the time to build the manuals or the list of Lego parts to get. It’s a colossal job in addition to building your own Lego Warhammer.

But the good news is that you already have at least a starting point with the pictorial plans proposed by Becheman. In addition, you can also search on YouTube. You’ll be more likely to find video tutorials that show instructions and parts needed to build various Warhammer 40k hobby miniatures, including those of the Marine Spaces that interest you most.
